Quesava products come from a diverse cross-section of ethnic culinary traditions. Quesava wanted one campaign that could link all of their diverse products into a cohesive storyline. Enter the Quesava grandmas – quirky, unapologetic and advocates for their traditional food.
Script Development
Quesava came to Picnic with the idea of using ethnic grandmas to tell the story of their products. Our creative team worked collaboratively to bring that idea to life, refining the concept and fleshing out scripts.
Casting
With scripts in hand, the next challenge was to cast a group of authentic and endearing characters. From auditions held in a seniors centre to ads placed in ethnic newspapers, Picnic got creative in order to find the right talent.
Production
After much preparation Picnic hosted the grandmas in our studio, filming all the spots over two action packed and hilarious days. Picnic handled all aspects of the production including set design and styling. Check out the results below.
